Product details

Product Overview

Dissolved oxygen analyzer is a commonly used instrument equipment, mainly used to measure dissolved oxygen in water, widely used in industries, agriculture, scientific research, environmental protection and other fields.

Measuring principle

The dissolved oxygen value of a dissolved oxygen analyzer in water depends on temperature, pressure, and the salinity of the dissolved water. The sensor part of the dissolved oxygen analyzer consists of a gold electrode (cathode) and a silver electrode (anode), as well as potassium chloride or potassium hydroxide electrolyte. Oxygen diffuses into the electrolyte through the membrane and forms a measurement circuit with the gold and silver electrodes. When a polarization voltage of 0.6-0.8V is applied to the electrode of the dissolved oxygen analyzer, oxygen diffuses through the membrane, the cathode releases electrons, the anode accepts electrons, and a current is generated. The entire reaction process is as follows: anode Ag+Cl → AgCl+2e -, cathode O2+2H2O+4e → 4OH -. According to Faraday's law, the current flowing through the electrode of the dissolved oxygen analyzer is proportional to the oxygen partial pressure, and there is a linear relationship between the current and oxygen concentration under constant temperature.

Standard liquid configuration

Preparation of anaerobic water

At room temperature of 20 ℃, place 250ml of distilled water in a beaker, add about 50mg of anhydrous sodium sulfite (to fully saturate it), and add an appropriate amount of cobalt chloride (CoCl2) as a catalyst. Stir evenly before use.

DO calibration

Place the DO electrode in anaerobic water, enter the low point calibration menu (calibrated at the factory), wait for stability, and press ENTER to confirm storage.

Place the DO electrode in the air and wait for it to stabilize before entering the air for calibration. Press ENTER to confirm storage.

Alternatively, enter high point calibration, place the DO electrode into a known solution, wait for stability, input the dissolved oxygen value of this liquid, and press ENTER to confirm storage. (Choose one of 2 or 3 for calibration)
