The water quality bacteria detector can quickly detect the content of microorganisms and bacteria in various water types. The device is a newly upgraded product with a large touch screen display, replacing traditional buttons. The operation uses biochemical reaction methods to detect ATP content, and the water quality bacteria detector is based on the principle of firefly luminescence, using the "luciferase luciferin system" to quickly detect adenosine triphosphate (ATP). ATP swabs contain reagents that can lyse cell membranes, which can release ATP from cells and react with specific enzymes contained in the reagents to produce light. The luminescence value is then detected using a fluorescence lux meter, and the number of microorganisms is proportional to the luminescence value. Since all living cells contain a constant amount of ATP, the ATP content can clearly indicate the amount of residual microorganisms and other organisms in the sample, which is used to determine the hygiene condition.
